5/1/2023 0 Comments Vidbox software keyI then reinstalled version 5.0.29 VHS to DVD software first, rebooted and then reinstalled the version 3.0.6 VidBox driver and rebooted. I then plugged the VidBox hardware in to be sure it was recognized. I then started the VHS to DVD software and made sure it was set to use the VidBox on composite NTSC_M and started the VHS tape playing. The VHS to DVD video screen was unresponsive and completely blank. While I got no error messages the traditional black window didn't even show up in the VHS to DVD software. The VidBox stopped working on the Win 7 system shortly after trying to configure VidBox 3 to work with NCH Debut video capture software. Initially Debut worked with the VidBox video option and was showing the VCR video on the capture screen but it didn't seem to like the VidBox audio option. When I tried to save the VidBox audio setting in Debut it would hang up and crash the software. ![]() If there is a glitch at hour 3, and the first half wasn't saved, WHY DID THE COUNTER KEEP GOING TO 6 HOURS? I wish there was a way to speak slower when typing because you apparently didn't understand the question I was asking.Īfter a reboot the VidBox would no longer work with NCH Debut, NCH Golden Videos, NCH Video Pad, or even Honestech’s VHS to DVD. The video file length was 2 hours and 58 minutes, but the recording counter, next to the word "Recording", which is next to an animated circular icon while the recording is in progress, said 6 hours. These numbers should be the same, why weren't they? I dont know how to explain it any clearer. Do you have an answer for that? If there was a glitch and it stopped recording, the counter should have stopped too, am I right? I mean, If you dont have an answer for that, just say so, instead of trying to act all high and mighty and dodging the question. You know, I could tell from the first reply that I got, I wouldn't be getting any help here. But I figured if you all are going to waste my time, I dont feel bad returning the favor. I know I should have paid more attention to the error message, true. If there was a problem, fine, I'll stop it and start over.īut the real issue I have here is the timing inconsistency. But I was under the impression it was recording, and I ended up wasting an entire morning. And then I come on here and NOBODY can admit that there is a problem with the software, as far as the interface is concerned. Thanks, for nothing, you all pose as "Digital Gurus" and it seems to me if you can use email you're probably doing pretty good. You're correct that since it had stopped recording, it should have indicated so. Most of us that have used the product much, have concluded that recording in shorter segments works better for us. And with home made tapes, you often have gaps in the tape, which it interprets as the end of the tape (no signal), and so it stops recording at that point, so we also "babysit" the process as it's going.Īt this point, no, we (I, anyway) don't have an answer for why it appeared to be recording when it had stopped. The only thing to do is go back, and capture that last half of the tape again, which you may have already done. ![]() I would not recommend trying to capture all of it again. Our goal is to develop our products for the consumers by making them easy to use, designing the products and packaging so that it “says what it does, and does what it says”.I'd go back to about the time where it stopped, and pick up with a second capture. ![]() VIDBOX specializes in developing and distributing consumer technology products for video & audio transfer. If memory serves this came with a CD with software on and the product key on the sleeve but I have since lost the CD and product key.
